Harry Volande is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division. In his current role, Volande is responsible for directing all of the company’s financial interests, including controller and treasurer functions. His primary responsibilities include purchasing, finance, information technology, internal audit and strategic planning. Prior to joining Siemens PLM Software, he held similar responsibilities at Siemens Energy and Automation Inc. where he also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Previously, Volande served as Vice President, Motion Control Systems for Siemens AG Automation and Drives Group in Germany, where he was responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, closing process, analysis and reporting of division performance, logistic performance, IT function and mergers and acquisitions. A few of his notable accomplishments during this period included the acquisition of three companies, formation of a strategic alliance in Japan, significant improvement in asset performance and a restructure of the finance department.
From 1995 to 1998, he served as the Managing Director and Financial Controller with Siemens Components in Malaysia. Here he was responsible for peak utilization of state-of-the art and high volume production lines and the economical ramp up of production capacities for new products.
After joining Siemens in 1980, as an accountant for the Sales Department at Siemens AG, he progressed through various job functions in Germany and then, from 1991 to 1994, in Atlanta where he worked at Siemens Industrial Automation.
Volande received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and served with the German Air Force. Throughout his career at Siemens, he has been active in community outreach, supporting programs such as Siemens Caring Hands, Siemens Generation 21 and numerous local employee events.
