Paul Vogel is executive vice president, Global Sales and Services for Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division. Vogel is responsible for the company's sales and service delivery on a global basis. He works in partnership with Siemens PLM Software's zone and automotive sales leaders to aggressively target geographic, industry and strategic corporate opportunities.
Vogel initially joined Siemens PLM Software in 2005 as senior vice president and managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He moved to that position from Global Exchange Services (GXS), a leading worldwide provider of business-to-business integration, synchronization and collaboration solutions, where he had served as vice president of sales for Europe since 2004.
Prior to his employment with GXS, he was a vice president and general manager for PeopleSoft in Europe, with responsibility for J.D. Edwards operations throughout EMEA. Originally joining J.D. Edwards in 1997, he quickly moved through a series of increasingly responsible positions, based on his ability to build strong effective organizations and achieve consistent growth in revenues and profit.
Paul also spent 11 years at IBM in a number of sales and sales leadership roles. He was one of the first in the company to sell consulting services and led a team focused on moving the company into complex projects, outsourcing and systems integration. During this time he developed extensive international experience as part of a worldwide team responsible for developing IBM service offerings.
A graduate of Metropolitan University of London, Paul brings more than 20 years of experience with international sales and general management in software and services to a wide range of industries.
When not traveling, he lives in the UK, and enjoys spending most of his free time with his family. He has many sporting interests including football, rugby, cricket and motor sports.
