New UK Solid Edge Organisation
From time to time Siemens reviews the way it goes to market through its Solution Partners. As part of a worldwide strategy we have been evaluating the way in which we sell and support our mainstream engineering solution, Solid Edge, and have made some changes to strengthen our long term business.
In the UK, we conducted an extensive 6-month long evaluation process to examine ways of re-structuring the Solid Edge business. Our aim was to develop an organisation capable of providing a platform for significant future growth while guaranteeing best-in-class support for our rapidly expanding customer base.
Siemens has now concluded that process and is delighted to confirm that your existing Partner, Cutting Edge Solutions, is one of two partners to have been awarded a contract to sell Solid Edge and re-invigorate the mainstream engineering market.
The decision was based on Cutting Edge’s compelling business plan to promote and strengthen the UK Solid Edge business. They will play an important role in the new organisation moving forward and will build on their heritage as a long-standing Solid Edge Partner. Cutting Edge is actively bolstering its sales and marketing capacity and, as existing customers, you stand to benefit from this expansion first hand.
Cutting Edge Solutions will be jointly responsible for taking the critically acclaimed Solid Edge with synchronous technology to a new generation of designers and engineers across new industries and new technologies – from academia to SMEs to blue-chip organisations – while remaining fully committed to their existing customer base.
The new Solid Edge organisation in the UK will see Cutting Edge Solutions split its company into two divisions: PRION Cutting Edge for PLM while retaining the Cutting Edge Solutions brand for its core Solid Edge business.
