Mike Sayen is vice president of Strategy for Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division. In his current role, Sayen leads Siemens PLM Software's strategic planning activities and initiatives. Working with the executive team, together with the company's worldwide Research and Development and Marketing teams, he is focused on developing and communicating Siemens PLM Software’s corporate strategy for delivering the industry’s leading PLM solutions.
Sayen has been part of the Information Technology industry for over 30 years, including nine years with AT&T Network Systems. He joined Siemens PLM Software in April 1988, starting within the R&D organization. In addition to line management assignments within both the NX and Teamcenter development teams, Sayen managed a number of corporate strategic programs, including the development and introduction of Teamcenter Community.
Sayen earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Engineering at Michigan State University, with a double major in systems science and computer science.
Sayen resides in the Dallas area with his wife, Pam, and children Melissa, Chris and Patricia. He and his family spend their spare time raising miniature horses, staying up to date on computer technologies and exploring virtual on-line worlds.
