Peter Bichara is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division. Prior to his current role, Bichara was vice president of Mergers and Acquisitions for Siemens A&D, the world's leading manufacturer of automation and drives products. Bichara was responsible for leading the Mergers and Acquisition organization and directing A&D's acquisition, divestiture and strategic project programs. He was head of the UGS acquisition team at Siemens A&D.
Before Bichara came to Siemens, he held various positions at Bertelsmann including chief executive officer of one of Bertelsmann AG's Internet Joint Ventures and vice president of Strategy for the Bertelsmann Group. Bertelsmann is one of the world's largest media conglomerates, with subsidiaries that span broadcasting, media services, print, book publishing and the Internet.
Earlier in this career, Bichara worked for the Boston Consulting Group as a management consultant in the company's Düsseldorf, Germany and Los Angeles offices.
Bichara earned a Masters of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering at TU Berlin and a Masters of Business Administration at ESC-Toulouse, France.
