Siemens have organized a one day academic event aimed solely at developing closer relationships between our Industry customers and Universities. The day represents an excellent opportunity to learn how leading UK engineering companies are using Siemens Engineering & Manufacturing (NX) software to design world class products, and what skills they need from tomorrows engineering graduates.
“Engaging with Industry” Forum
The day will consist of an informative mix of presentations from some of Siemens PLM key innovative customers and academic partners concluding with a forum hosted by Loughborough University. The forum will bring together academics and industrialists to discuss the use of engineering & manufacturing software in Engineering Education, with a particular focus on the relevance for students moving into industry either via industrial placements or graduate recruitment. The main outcomes will be to identify best practices and any areas which may need closer attention. Also, routes for the academic curriculum to be enhanced by real industrial content could be explored.
