Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP)

DAPCEP is an educational organization that works to increase the number of historically underrepresented students who are motivated and prepared academically to pursue degrees leading to careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related fields through K-12 supplemental educational programs.

Focus: HOPE Center for Advanced Technologies

The CAT program provides a unique learning experience for students interested in becoming engineers. Students pursue engineering education at partner universities (Lawrence Technological University, Wayne State University, University of Detroit Mercy or University of Michigan) and are exposed to real-world work through internships as well as research and development projects. They receive free tuition and earn a salary while completing their degree.

Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program (HEEAP)

HEEAP’s goal is to transform engineering education from passive, purely theory-based instruction to active, applied and theory-based instruction and learning. HEEAP brings together government, academia and industry to modernize Vietnamese public higher education in engineering.

Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) Design Technology Program

IWCC, Siemens PLM Software and local manufacturers in Iowa formed an advisory board to address the state’s skilled labor shortage. This best-practice program offers a detailed white paper and recommended associate’s degree curriculum, providing a blueprint for community colleges around the country to revitalize manufacturing in their communities.

People’s Republic of China Ministry Of Education (MOE)

Siemens PLM Software works with the People’s Republic of China MOE to support the National Computer-Aided Technology Certification Project (CAXc Project).
