Visit UGS at IMTS 2006

UGS will showcase its industry-leading manufacturing solutions at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), September 6-13, 2006, McCormick Place, Chicago, in booth # D 3027.

This is a major international event focused on machining and UGS will be showing NX™ CAM Express, the latest addition to the UGS Velocity Series™ portfolio. Aimed at providing the in-depth CAM capabilities needed to program the latest and most advanced machine tools through an easy to deploy and easy to use system, NX CAM Express is available in packages aimed at key machining requirements from 2 ½ Axis machining through Mill-Turn machining, to full 5 Axis machining. NX CAM Express is available as a CAD neutral CAM application or packaged with Solid Edge® or NX CAD and both combinations will be on exhibit at IMTS. The latest additions to the UGS Machine Tool Support Kits aimed at providing post processors, G-code-driven machine tool simulation, templates and examples, for selected advanced machine tools, will be demonstrated at the show. CAM data management and part process planning will complete the line-up in the machining area for UGS.

In addition, the latest additions to the NX and Solid Edge tool design applications will be on display. The NX injection molds and progressive die designs demonstrations will include the recent additions in the area of electrode design and the one-step un-forming software for die application for die blanks. The integration of tool design and CAM for high speed milling, mold and die base machining, will be shown.

Although IMTS is a major manufacturing show with a focus on machining, UGS will show key elements of its Tecnomatix portfolio of digital manufacturing applications, such as its factory layout and simulation. Information will be available on applications ranging from off-line robot programming to the Tecnomatix manufacturing execution system.

Visitors to the UGS booth will be able to try their hand at some interactive software demonstrations on key elements of the above tooling and machining applications.

Existing UGS customers attending IMTS are encouraged to visit the UGS booth to pick up complimentary measuring calipers as well as some magnetic "Programmed in NX" labels that will add a flash of color to your machine tools.
