NX Nastran Accelerates Momentum (cont.)

"All industries are desperate for better integration and interoperability of CAE with the rest of their product lifecycle management infrastructure" said Charles Foundyller, CEO, Daratech, Inc. (Cambridge, MA). "NX Nastran is just one example of the terrific position UGS has in its ability to bridge the gap for its customers - gaps that are all too frequent between design and analysis teams in today's product development environments."

UGS is very pleased with its accelerated NX Nastran momentum. Most recently, the company announced Lockheed Martin's decision to select NX Nastran as its preferred solution for finite element analysis. Lockheed Martin relies on NX Nastran for accurate evaluations of the structural performance of a wide range of its products - from launch vehicles to satellites. (See the press release here.)

This month, UGS will announce availability of NX Nastran Version 3, which includes a number of new capabilities and enhancements. Of particular note is the addition of new functionality that enables digital simulation of complex performance issues - issues that are prevalent in major industries such as automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment and consumer products.

Users of NX Nastran will now be able to perform much more advanced nonlinear simulations while continuing to use standard Nastran input and output file formats and Nastran simulation work processes.
