The event also provided an opportunity to introduce Teamcenter 2005, UGS' latest tool to support our mission of working collaboratively with clients to create open enterprise solutions that enable them to transform their process of innovation and maximize value throughout all phases of the product lifecycle.

As the value of PLM becomes more widely recognized, and companies in an ever-broadening range of industries explore PLM technology, it is exciting to see the many forms that innovation can take and the new opportunities that result. We were honored that a number of our customers, including GM Daewoo, EPI Europrop International, Wright Medical Technology, American Axle, Siemens Power Generation and Israel Aircraft Industries, were able to join us at the analyst event to present compelling examples of the ways PLM solutions are making a difference in their businesses.

Many of our customers rely on the analyst community to provide insight on how PLM can help them achieve their goals. Likewise UGS values analyst views on market requirements and direction. Their feedback on our solutions is very valuable, so we were pleased to receive the following comments after our meeting:

"Four million users, a billion dollars in revenues for 2004, double digit annual growth, a three billion dollar revenue target going forward, open systems, partners with enterprise access and a 'We never let a customer fail' mantra were our takeaways from UGS' upbeat analyst conference in NYC this week. UGS, always impressive, is turning into an aggressive marketing machine poised for success. With some 200 in attendance, UGS painted a rosy and convincing picture of its business performance and future market prospects."

UGS Commits to Global Innovation Networks with Teamcenter 2005 Launch, June 30, 2005

It is clear from these comments that analysts recognize UGS' commitment to its customers and their ability to accelerate growth by increasing their innovation ability and velocity. UGS' PLM solutions overcome an environment where innovation processes are often fragmented, instead creating an integrated shared knowledge base that can be leveraged by all members of a company's value chain so that strategic innovation can thrive. When companies accomplish this they can:

  • Create a sustainable advantage
  • Increase margins
  • Attract new customers
  • Gain more business value from their own processes and resources
  • Lower operational costs
  • Increase efficiency
  • Increase organizational flexibility to react and respond to changing market requirements
  • Increase overall customer satisfaction

If these are your company's business goals, I encourage you to contact your local UGS representative to explore new ways you can accelerate growth and innovation through PLM.
