New Teamcenter Suite of MRO Solutions to be Unveiled at Upcoming Industry Events
As UGS launches its new Teamcenter for MRO suite this spring, two upcoming events -- MRO 2005 and PLM World -- will feature the solutions, which are initially targeted at aerospace and defense organizations focused on supporting and/or performing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations. The suite delivers in-service management, maintenance planning, maintenance execution and material management on top of Teamcenter's open PLM foundation, ensuring secure, anywhere-access to robust configuration management and product knowledge management capabilities.
By providing the link between engineering and the point-of-service, Teamcenter's rich source of product knowledge helps service teams plan for optimal efficiency and productivity - such as determining what parts and materials are necessary to carry out an operation in their part of the world, what their local sources of supply are and what the valid alternates and substitutes are.
With total visibility to configuration and product-related knowledge, service crews can improve performance, maintenance planners can optimize asset up-time and reduce service turnaround time and enterprises can grow their after-sales service revenues or volume at reduced costs.
