One is superior manufacturing data management technologies. UGS has a proven manufacturing data management system that takes our design data management technology, including change management, configuration management for manufacturing, effectivity and a common engineering workflow and applies it to a solution that fits the manufacturing community's needs. This is a key benefit for most manufacturing engineering groups that had little choice until UGS provided it.

Another is our broadened range of products that, in every case, provides extended value throughout the product lifecycle. With solutions for manufacturing planning and validation, machining, simulation, manufacturing for high tech electronics, shop floor delivery (MES) and data capturing (SCADA), our depth and industry knowledge is untouched.

Perhaps the best news for our customers is the long standing relationship between UGS and Tecnomatix and the fact that we have been working on integrating our products for more than two years already. Instead of the lengthy period of incompatibility and a preliminary initial interface one might expect from a new acquisition, we are already releasing the third phase of our integration focused around the Tecnomatix Open Manufacturing Backbone (OMB) and the Tecnomatix Planning suite of products. With OMB, customers can manage manufacturing data at an enterprise level under configuration control, opening new opportunities to reduce costs through better time management, improved quality and reduced waste. This is enabled with the UGS Teamcenter solution or with other PLM solutions.

Both UGS and Tecnomatix have been known for our commitment to helping our customers succeed, and our value in that respect is multidimensional. The union of our companies expands both the strength of the technology solutions we can provide and the range of skills and regional expertise available to support our customers. Both current UGS customers and the Tecnomatix customers we will now serve can be confident that we will provide the best products, service and support to fit their needs.

Another area where Tecnomatix and UGS have always shared similar values is the importance of open technology. Many existing Tecnomatix customers use multiple applications and products from companies that compete with UGS. UGS' publicly-stated direction of Open by Design still applies. We have proof all over the world of customers that embrace standards like JT and PLM XML for production installations with competitive products. We fully intend to enable our digital manufacturing products to remain open in support of our customers' initiatives now and into the future.

I would like to encourage all of you to take a closer look at what UGS now brings to the table in this exciting and high growth area, and see how we can help you transform the process of digital manufacturing at your company.
