NX Simulation Process Studio - New in NX 3
Transforming digital product development
By combining best practice knowledge and UGS software solutions into a more automated and managed methodology, customers will be able to significantly reduce the effort and risks associated with repeatable processes and tasks.
The studio technology will be introduced in a phased approach with a dedicated Simulation Process Studio toolset available with NX 3. NX Simulation Process Studio will allow companies to capture best practice approaches to digital simulation into process wizards, encouraging the transfer of engineering simulation knowledge throughout the organization. The solution leverages the combined strengths of NX, UGS digital product development solution, and Teamcenter, the company's industry-leading integrated portfolio of PLM solutions, to provide an enhanced foundation for digital product development.
"Our goal is to use advanced analysis to significantly reduce dependencies on physical prototypes," said Fred Homma, general manager, CAE and Systems Promotion Department, Engineering Division, Isuzu. "This depends upon pervasive use of analysis throughout our product development organization. We are evaluating NX Simulation Process Studio for its ability to encapsulate specialist knowledge and best practices and deploy them in a way that is much more user-friendly and valuable to the design engineer."
Common and re-usable processes across the organization are key to ensuring quality and reducing variability in the digital development process. By enforcing process standards and supporting best practice implementation, companies can apply solutions such as NX Simulation Process Studio as components of Lean Design and Design for Six Sigma initiatives.
