Participating in Ford’s C3P-NG Environment:
As Ford Motor Company establishes the Next Generation of its CAD/CAM/CAE/PIM initiative (C3P-NG), it is partnering with UGS to provide suppliers with a series of software and services leverage by Ford to achieve their Product Development improvements. C3P-NG extensions include:
Multi-CAD Design Management: Ability to manage and exchange design information authored under multiple CAD systems, including I-deas NX Series and CATIA.
Visual Collaboration: Utilizing industry-standard JT Open technology to integrate data from dissimilar CAD systems into high-level assemblies and vehicle variants that can viewed, interrogated, marked-up and exchanged by widely dispersed users.
Digital Buck: Allowing digital mockups that can be subjected to a wide variety of digital simulations, validations, tests and measurements.
Managing your own Engineering Process with Teamcenter:
As a Ford supplier, you can take advantage of specially priced Teamcenter software/services packages. These packages are based on the same technology that Ford has selected to manage all of its design data on an enterprise basis and integrate its suppliers into this environment.
