ISO 9001:2000
On Tuesday June 1st 2004, UGS’ European operation went through its annual ISO 9001:2000 quality assessment, conducted by BSI. Our UGS Quality Vision Statement looks for "continuous improvement with the purpose of constantly increasing the value of the products and services provided to our customers". In this respect the topics covered a broad spectrum of European business functions from Operations to Product Marketing. We are very pleased to announce that BSI was entirely satisfied that they had seen sufficient evidence of continuous improvements and had no hesitation in recommending the continued ISO certification.
It is very satisfying to see that our ongoing initiatives for process improvements and sharing of best practices were seen to be driven by a UGS culture of continuous improvements for real business reasons. Our commitment to leading the adoption of the new ISO 9001:2000 standard points the way forward for improved quality management in the PLM industry.
